The Better Way to Stay for Bell Centre Events
The Better Way to Stay for Bell Centre Events
Going to a game or a concert at the Bell Centre? You could stay in a generic downtown high-rise, or you could stay in a quiet, historic Victorian manor in the heart of the Plateau and feel more local, more authentic. We’re just a quick trip away, offering a more local Montreal experience without the downtown noise and expensive parking.
Skip the Downtown Traffic
The Bell Centre is the heart of Montreal’s sports and music scene, but the area immediately around it can be chaotic on event nights. Traffic is heavy, and parking is both difficult to find and expensive.
By staying at Gingerbread Manor in the Plateau, you get the best of both worlds: a quiet night’s sleep in a historic neighbourhood and a seamless trip to the arena via the Metro. You’re close enough to feel the energy of the city, but far enough away to avoid the gridlock.
A Local Experience in the Plateau
Why settle for a cramped hotel room when you can enjoy a 19th-century manor? After the game or concert, you can walk to the friendly bars on Prince Arthur Street or explore the boutiques on Saint-Lawrence (Saint-Laurent in French). You’re also a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk from Old Montreal and the downtown shops.
When you wake up, we’ll have a hearty, multi-course great breakfast waiting for you. We take pride in our menu: you won’t eat the same thing twice during your stay.
Getting Here is Easy
You won’t need a car for your entire trip.
By Bus: If you’re arriving from out of town, the Montreal Coach Station (Gare d’autocars) is just a 10-minute walk from our front door.
By Metro: We are steps from the Sherbrooke Station (Orange Line), giving you access to the whole city.
Travel Time
How to get there (without a car) Avoid the traffic and $40 parking fees. We are located right on the Orange Metro line, making it incredibly easy to get to the arena:
By Metro: Walk 5 minutes to the Sherbrooke station, hop on the Orange line, and get off at Lucien-L’Allier. You’ll be at the front doors in under 20 minutes.
On Foot: If it’s a nice day, it’s a beautiful 30-minute walk through the city.
By Ride-Share/Taxi: Usually a 10-15 minute ride depending on game-day traffic.
